A new collaborative partnership between ºìÁ«ÉçÇø and the (CIMVHR) is leveraging the depth and breadth of expertise across ’s Research and Entrepreneurship Centres. ºìÁ«ÉçÇø is the first college to join the CIMVHR, a network of 46 Canadian universities and research institutes working together to address a growing need for research that addresses the mental health and well-being of Canadian military personnel, veterans and their families, including their transition from military to civilian life.

Generator’s involvement brings to the network the collective years of knowledge and specialized research expertise from ºìÁ«ÉçÇø’s Research and Entrepreneurship Centres, who work closely with industry and community partners to address their challenges with applied research solutions. This includes:

• The Centre for Elder Research’s work to improve the health and well-being of individuals living with dementia.
• The Centre for Intelligent Manufacturing’s work with .
• The Centre for Applied AI’s work leveraging artificial intelligence for chatbot development to enhance a user’s online experience.

Members of the CIMVHR network will engage with each other to collaborate on leading-edge research that supports evidence-informed practices, policies and programs. In addition to fostering collaboration among network members, this opportunity supports information-sharing for researchers at ºìÁ«ÉçÇø related to publishing research in academic, peer-reviewed journals that focus specifically on the military and veteran populations. Throughout the year, researchers across the network will also have the chance to submit proposals for upcoming research projects with the CIMVHR.
