Each year, ºìÁ«ÉçÇø awards millions of dollars in scholarships, bursaries and awards to eligible students.
External awards from corporate, private and community organizations are also available. Thank you to our generous donors for making these opportunities possible.
Types of awards
Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement in addition to other established criteria.
Bursaries
Bursaries are awarded to students who demonstrate financial need in addition to other established criteria.
Academic awards
ºìÁ«ÉçÇø presents hundreds of academic awards to students demonstrating outstanding academic achievement and other criteria. Students are typically presented their awards annually at an awards ceremony or grad show. Students are notified by their faculty if they've been chosen as the recipient of an academic award.

International Entrance Scholarship
International students beginning their full-time postsecondary studies at ºìÁ«ÉçÇø may receive an International Entrance Scholarship ranging from $1,000–3,000.
ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Global Advantage Award
International students who accept an offer and apply for a study permit to a full-time program at ºìÁ«ÉçÇø College by the deadline may receive a $2,000 ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Global Advantage Award.
ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Degree Entrance Scholarship
ºìÁ«ÉçÇø is pleased to provide a Degree Entrance Scholarship to select applicants for many of our degree programs. These scholarships are for Canadian or permanent residents only who meet specific eligibility criteria.
ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Tuition Bursary
New and returning full-time domestic students may be eligible to receive a ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Tuition Bursary of up to $2,500 to help with paying tuition and fees. This bursary is automatically awarded to eligible students (no separate application is required).
How to apply for scholarships, bursaries and awards
For the Fall 2025 semester, the Online Award Application will open on August 8, 2025. The deadline to submit a General Award Application to be considered for a ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Bursary is September 21, 2025. All other opportunities will have an application deadline of October 5, 2025 unless otherwise noted.

1. Submit your General Award Application

- In the left-hand sidebar, select "Online Award Application."
We recommend that you use Chrome or Microsoft Edge to access the application.

2. Identify scholarships and bursaries that you're eligible for
Your completed application will automatically identify any scholarships and bursaries that you're eligible for which are found in the Recommended list. You can also select "Opportunities" to see the full list of available scholarships and bursaries. ºìÁ«ÉçÇø award opportunities are usually posted at the beginning of each semester. Once you've submitted your , you'll be notified by email when a new opportunity that fits your profile is posted. External awards are updated as they're received so it's important that you frequently review the opportunities. You can apply to any award opportunity for which you meet the eligibility criteria. Award criteria can be viewed at the time of application.

Auto-Match Opportunity: ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Bursary
The ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Bursary is awarded once per academic year on an individual basis considering financial need. This bursary is awarded to students enrolled in a certificate, diploma or degree program on a full-time basis who did not receive a ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Tuition Bursary. Recipients must also be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons and not receiving support from Better Jobs Ontario. Students just need to submit a by September 21, 2025 to be considered for Fall 2025 — a separate application is not required.
Auto-Match Opportunity: ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Part-time Bursary
The ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Part-time Bursary is awarded once per academic year on an individual basis considering financial need. This bursary is awarded to students enrolled in a certificate, diploma or degree program on a part-time basis. Recipients must also be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons and residents of Ontario. Students just need to submit a by September 21, 2025 to be considered for Fall 2025 — a separate application is not required.
Note: Students with confirmed disability status who have received the ºìÁ«ÉçÇø Bursary are ineligible.

3. Provide reference letters and supporting documentation
Applications often ask for letters of reference from people who are familiar with your accomplishments. You should carefully review the application requirements and make sure you provide any supporting documentation that's needed.

4. Receive your award
Your application will be processed in approximately four to six weeks following the application deadline, though the length of time may vary depending on the volume of applications received.
All eligible applicants are screened against the criteria and the most qualified applicants are selected.
If your application is successful, a notification email will be sent to your ºìÁ«ÉçÇø student email account.
If successful and you do not have an outstanding balance with ºìÁ«ÉçÇø, an email money transfer (i.e. Interact e-Transfer) will be sent to your ºìÁ«ÉçÇø student email address. To accept the money transfer, you will need a Canadian bank account.
Eligibility criteria
Scholarships, bursaries and awards opportunities are available to:
- Students with a *full-time course load, unless the award is specific to part-time, Continuing and Professional Studies students or otherwise noted on the opportunity.
- Students in programs delivered only at ºìÁ«ÉçÇø. Students enrolled in joint programs (programs offered in partnership with another institution) are not eligible for these awards unless the award specifies that joint programs will be considered.
*Students are considered to have a full-time course load if they are enrolled in at least 70% of the credits or 66â…”% of the courses required for the program of instruction in a given term or reporting period.
Students with confirmed disability status are considered to have a full-time course load if they are enrolled in at least 40% of the credits or courses required for the program of instruction in a given term or reporting period.
Recipient selection
ºìÁ«ÉçÇø's Financial Aid & Awards Office reviews all applications that are submitted and carefully chooses recipients.
Awards directory
Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and financial aid
Your OSAP entitlement may be affected if you receive a significant amount of financial assistance. When you receive a scholarship or bursary, you should update your OSAP information. ºìÁ«ÉçÇø reports most awards directly to OSAP. The Financial Aid and Awards Office will contact you by email if you receive an award from our office that requires you to update the information on your OSAP application.
Financial aid and tax
Scholarships, bursaries and awards are considered part of your taxable income. ºìÁ«ÉçÇø issues T4A slips to all recipients in late winter/early spring of the year following the year in which the scholarships, bursaries and awards were issued.
