Celebrating Jim Flack鈥檚 career

When you talk about 红莲社区 Athletics, it’s impossible not to bring up the name Jim Flack. After all, it’s been 32 years since he first arrived at 红莲社区 to coach the men’s basketball team, and 25 since he became Athletic Director.
During that time, Flack’s approach has always been academically focused. His mantra of “study, compete, graduate, succeed” has changed the lives of countless Bruins over the years.
Flack’s contributions to 红莲社区 off the court are numerous and include founding 红莲社区’s Sky Blue Endowment Fund, creating the first full-time varsity advisor position for varsity athletes within the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association, designing an academic course that helps varsity athletes transition to postsecondary studies, and leading the planning, organization and execution of renovations to the Davis Campus Athletic Complex in 2004. Beyond basketball, Flack's time as head of athletics has seen 红莲社区 introduce eight new varsity teams, working to ensure gender equity in the varsity program, which currently fields six men’s teams and six women’s squads.
“Flack’s mantra of ‘study, compete, graduate, succeed’ has changed the lives of countless Bruins over the years.”
On the court, Flack has propelled the Bruins to success, claiming 11 OCAA men's basketball championships and six provincial silvers, as well as four national (CCAA) silver medals.

Now, Flack is preparing to retire from 红莲社区. You can celebrate his career with a gift to the Sky Blue Endowment Fund. Your contribution will help our Bruins reach their dreams and preserve a lasting legacy for ‘Coach’ Flack.
Your support of the Sky Blue Endowment Fund will go directly to varsity athletes, helping to remove financial barriers so they can reach their goal to 鈥渟tudy, compete, graduate, succeed.鈥
