ºìÁ«ÉçÇø is committed to promoting a healthy and safe working, living and learning environment for all of our community members. As part of this commitment, ºìÁ«ÉçÇø has adopted the , which took effect on October 17, 2018.

All ºìÁ«ÉçÇø campuses are now 100% tobacco and smoke free. This means that smoking any form of tobacco and/or cannabis, vaping and use of e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco (commonly known as chewing tobacco) are not permitted anywhere on ºìÁ«ÉçÇø campuses.

The policy accords with Ontario legislation which makes consumption of recreational cannabis in the workplace illegal.

Accommodation

In accordance with applicable legislation and the Workplace Accommodation Policy, ºìÁ«ÉçÇø will provide accommodation for the medical use of cannabis.
